Dr Yasmin Harvey is a haematologist at Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, Brisbane where reports across a broad range of non-malignant and malignant haematological conditions.

A graduate of the University of Queensland, with a BSc (Biomedical Science) in 1999 and MBBS (Hons) in 2004, Dr Harvey undertook specialist training in haematology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, the Royal Brisbane Women's and Children's Hospital, and Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2015.

The same year, she was awarded the RCPA Mike & Carole Ralston Travelling Fellowship Award and completed a research fellowship at the Centre for Lymphoid Cancer, British Columbia Cancer Agency, Vancouver, Canada. Her research interests include application of genomic technologies including gene expression-based biomarkers in patients with Hodgkin lymphoma.

On returning to Australia, Dr Harvey joined Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology's Department of Haematology. She is involved in all aspects of diagnostic haematology working closely with her colleagues in clinical practice.

She is also involved in the training and education of haematologists and enjoys serving on the haematology scientific committee of the RCPA's annual meeting, Pathology Update.

Dr Harvey has memberships of the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Australian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group and the Australian Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.

During down-time, she enjoys spending time with family, bushwalking, listening to music and pilates.
